About Me

Hello and welcome! I'm Christi and I am so happy that you are here. It's my desire as a therapist to provide you with a non-judgemental, supportive, safe place. I have been where a lot of you are. I'll tell you more about me a little later but this is really about you. Let me tell you about the clients I work with best so you can determine if you think we'd be a good fit.

These clients are in relationships or marriages that have ended up in a place that they never expected. You don't recognize that person you're sleeping next to. You don't feel like they really know you anymore either. You wonder where that person that you fell in love with went. It might be because of having kids, infidelity, work, or just how time flies but you've lost what you had. You still have hope and you still want this relationship to work and you are willing to work for it. I can help you.

The individual clients that I work with best struggle with depression and anxiety. They wonder how they're going to get out of bed in the morning. And if they do, they wonder how will they ever get everything done. They have no energy or motivation. Sometimes they feel sad and sometimes they feel nothing at all. They can feel hopeless about their future and can't picture ever being happy again.

Some clients are going through major life changes like chronic or terminal illness. Some are caregivers doing the hardest work they ever imagined. They may have lost a loved one and are grieving, wondering when they will ever be able to live without that someone and be happy again. I've been there. My clients know that I don't have a magic wand but are willing to come in and work with me to become their best selves and live their best lives. My life experience and professional training as a hospice and oncology social worker provide me with the skills and education necessary to help you.

So a little about more about me... I'm a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. I've lived in the Newnan, Georgia area for over 20 years but spent most of my childhood in Florida. Since I was young I always loved listening to people, their problems, and found myself wanting to help them. I have struggled with many of the issues I described above in my life. That's why I became a therapist. I graduated from LaGrange College with my Bachelors degree in Sociology, minoring in Psychology, and Associates degree in Criminal Justice in 1997. I received my Masters of Social Work degree from Valdosta State University in 2011. Since getting my graduate degree I have worked thousands of hours in a variety of areas including mental health agencies, oncology and hospice care. I am here, ready, willing and able to help you become your best self and live your best life. There is hope.
